A number of transactions in various jurisdictions demonstrate how bringing on-chain the cash leg of wholesale transactions on digital bonds brings efficiency to post-trade. However little has been said or demonstrated about the added value of DLT for pre-trade. In the keynote, Josselin Hebert will discuss how DLT and a wholesale digital euro could add efficiency to pre-trade steps of the debt issuance process

Project Leap: Quantum-proofing the financial system

This cyber security project aims at investigating and testing cryptographic solutions that can withstand the vastly improved processing power of quantum computers. The goal is – together with Banque de France and Deutsche Bundesbank, the project partners within the Eurosystem – to test use cases in various central banking processes like payments and examine how existing communications, processing, and storage systems are impacted by the introduction of new quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols.
