Guillaume Eliet

Chief Risk Officer - Euroclear

Guillaume Eliet is the Chief Risk Officer of Euroclear and Member of the Executive Committee.

Mr Eliet joined Euroclear in 2017 as the Head of Regulatory, Compliance & Public Affairs, before taking the reins as CEO of Euroclear ESES CSDs (Euroclear France, Euroclear Belgium and Euroclear Nederland) in 2021. 

Prior to joining Euroclear, Mr Eliet worked from 2005 to 2017 at the French Stock Market Authority, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), where he was Deputy Managing Director, heading the Regulation Policy and International Affairs division. He had previously been Head of the Asset Management division within the AMF.

A lawyer by profession, Mr. Eliet started his career in 1999 at Coudert Brothers, an American law firm, where he advised issuers and financial institutions on Banking and Capital Market legal matters. 

He holds a postgraduate degree in Business and Tax Law, as well as a master's degree in Business Law obtained at the Sorbonne University. He his a Certified Board Member (Sciences Po/ IFA) and vice-chair of ECSDA (European Central Securities Depositories Association).
