Dan Kuhnel
Director - Euroclear
Dan Kuhnel, Director, is a senior executive responsible for Primary Market Relationship Management within Euroclear’s Commercial Division.
His remit is the global responsibility for managing Primary Market business matters and overall relationships with issuers, lead managers, law firms, issuing and paying agents, and various primary-market related trade associations.
Mr. Kuhnel took up this position in January 2005, having previously spent 11+ years working for Clearstream Banking Luxembourg – based in London England - where he was Senior Business Manager for New Issues and issuance products as well as managing the New Issues operations desk.
Prior to this, Dan was stationed in Toronto Canada, working for Burns Fry Ltd, where he was in charge of their New Issues operations.
Mr. Kuhnel has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) since 2005 and is also on the ANNA Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB). Before this, between 2001 and 2004, Dan served as Chairman of ANNA.
Mr. Kuhnel is an acting Director and member of the Management Committee of the International Capital Markets Services Association (ICMSA), chairing their Primary Market Committee.
He is also a member of the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) and acts as the primary delegate of Euroclear Bank with the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA).
Mr. Kuhnel holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
