Brussels, 29 September 2026 – Euroclear today announced that Marc De Rycke has been appointed as Chief Information Officer (CIO) as Michal Paprocki departs.
Marc De Rycke has been appointed as the group CIO, with Claus Norup appointed Deputy CIO.
With a wealth of Euroclear experience, Marc brings an exceptional knowledge of the group’s technology capabilities and broad enterprise perspective through his more recent roles across our business. Most recently, Marc has been Head of Strategic Initiatives which includes its AI enablement programme. In his new role, Marc will report directly to Valérie Urbain, the group CEO and he joins the Group Executive Committee.
Claus Norup, in his current role as CISO, leads Euroclear’s cyber defence strategy. Claus will report in a dual line to Marc and to Valérie.
Marc and Claus will maintain a clear focus on production stability, cyber security and resilience while accelerating the technology contribution to Euroclear’s business and innovation agenda. They will also work to strengthen further the succession and technology talent pipeline.
