Brussels, 19 June 2026 – Euroclear announces the appointment of Eric Lombard to its Board of Directors as a non-executive director.
Eric Lombard brings more than four decades of experience across finance, public sector and government leadership. He most recently served as France’s Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty from 2024 to 2025.
Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations from 2017 to 2024, one of France’s leading public financial institutions. Mr Lombard previously served on the Euroclear Board of Directors from November 2022 to December 2024.
Throughout his career, Mr Lombard has developed extensive expertise in international finance and politics to enable investment in the real economy. His leadership roles across both private and public financial institutions provide a strong foundation to contribute to Euroclear’s strategic priorities and governance.
Mr Lombard, a graduate of HEC Business School, serves as President of Halmahera, an investment company.
