On Day 2 of PostTrade 360° 2026, the spotlight shifted to the market itself. Clients, market participants and industry leaders shared their perspectives on how Nordic capital markets can become more connected, accessible and competitive in the years ahead.

Ann-Kristin Fessé, Head of Commercial Financial Institutions, Euroclear Nordics - Sweden

One of the highlights was the client panel Nordic transformation progress: driving value together with clients, moderated by Ann-Kristin Fessé, Head of Commercial Financial Institutions Sweden at Euroclear Nordics. Together with representatives from Citi, DNB, Nordea and SEB, the discussion explored what meaningful progress should look like by 2030.

While perspectives varied, there was strong alignment on the outcomes that matter most: easier market access, greater efficiency, stronger resilience and reduced complexity.

"Transformation only creates value when it creates value for the market. Only through collaboration will we create more efficiency, resilience and easier market access that will strengthen Nordic capital markets for the future." - Ann-Kristin Fessé, Head of Commercial Financial Institutions, Euroclear Nordics - Sweden.

The discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration across the market ecosystem and highlighted how transformation must be measured by the value it creates for clients and market participants.

The next chapter for Nordic markets

Day 2 also featured the panel discussion On the minds of Nordic CSD leaders, where Hanna Vainio, CEO of Euroclear Nordics, joined fellow Nordic CSD leaders Kristine Bastøe and Niels Siggaard-Rotendahl.

The discussion focused on the future of Nordic market infrastructure and the growing importance of connectivity, cross-border access and regional collaboration.

"The Nordic market is ready for its next chapter." - Hanna Vainio, CEO, Euroclear Nordics

Hanna highlighted that Euroclear Nordics is moving from strategy to execution. Building on the themes from her Day 1 keynote, she outlined how Euroclear Nordics is turning Nordic ambition into action together with clients, partners and market participants through one Nordic platform, one Nordic growth ambition and one Nordic identity.

Krista Willman, CCO Euroclear Nordics - Finland, participated in the session: The challenges and opportunities for digital identity and onboarding, with Shomali Lahiri Head of Client Relationship Management Saphyre Inc, moderator, and John Worden Custody and Post-Trade Product UBS Switzerland AG, Alexandre Kech Chief Executive Officer Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF)

Digital trust enables future participation

Another important topic on Day 2 was digital identity and onboarding.

Krista Willman, Chief Compliance Officer at Euroclear Finland, participated in the session The challenges and opportunities for digital identity and onboarding, highlighting how trust, security and user experience must evolve together as financial ecosystems become increasingly interconnected.

"The most interesting question is not what technology can do, but how it can make participation in financial markets simpler, safer and more accessible." - Krista Willman, Chief Compliance Officer, Euroclear Nordics - Finland

The discussion explored how digital identity solutions can help reduce complexity, improve accessibility and support a better experience for market participants.

Wrapping up PostTrade 360° 2026 in Stockholm

As PostTrade 360° concluded its 2026 edition in Stockholm and looks ahead to its next chapter in London in 2027, the conversations throughout the event reinforced a shared ambition across the industry: to build more accessible, resilient and competitive capital markets that create lasting value for clients and investors.

Across the event, discussions consistently returned to a common theme: the Nordic market is ready for its next chapter. Stronger connectivity, easier cross-border access, trusted digital solutions and closer market collaboration will all play a role in shaping the future.

For Euroclear Nordics, that journey continues. Together with clients, partners and market participants, we are helping shape the future of Nordic capital markets. With the market, for the market.
