Brussels, 06 August 2025 – Euroclear today announces the appointment of Szandra Nagyné Komócsi as Chief Internal Auditor of the group, effective 18 July 2025. Szandra’s appointment has been formally approved by the National Bank of Belgium.
Szandra brings a wealth of relevant expertise and a deep understanding of Euroclear to the new role. She succeeds John Bendermacher, who is retiring. Since 2021, Szandra has served as Chief Risk Officer of Euroclear Bank, Euroclear’s International Central Securities Depository (ICSD). She was also a member of the Board of Euroclear Bank, where she helped steer the organisation through a highly complex risk environment shaped by various geopolitical developments.
Szandra began her Euroclear career in 2010 within the Internal Audit team. Before joining Euroclear, Szandra was an audit manager at PwC. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Debrecen in Hungary and is a chartered accountant.
