Diversity, equity and inclusion
In 2025, we implemented a revised Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. We also focused on ensuring that our leaders are equipped to lead inclusively and to support diverse talent. By the end of 2025, the percentage of women in senior management stood at 34% (2024: 32%). We know that it is challenging to meet our ambitious target of 40% by end 2026 and will now review our approach to this target as we implement our new DEI strategy.
Learning and development
We have focused on upskilling all staff, in particular to harness the full potential of AI and digitalisation to drive efficiency and enhance customer experience.
We also launched our new ‘Forward’ leadership training programme with 186 people registered in 2025. It is a rolling programme run by the London Business School and aimed at equipping leaders and future leaders with the right skills to realise our business strategies.
Employee wellbeing
We take a holistic approach to employee wellbeing, considering physical, mental and environmental wellbeing.
We will roll out our updated global wellbeing approach in line with local country needs and promote our wellbeing programme to the workforce. In 2026 we will focus on building an action plan to strengthen the mental resilience of our staff, support better financial wellbeing and enhance or modify our benefits to ensure that they continue to support employees at work.
We measure the engagement of our staff annually. In 2025, as we navigated a challenging external environment, our overall engagement score was 7.2% (2024: 7.8), against a 2022 baseline of 7.7 in a market where we see a downward trend in engagement benchmarks. We will continue to focus on constructive dialogue and implement action plans to build a stronger, human-centred organisation.
We are also looking at how climate change might impact the wellbeing of all of us in the future.
