Maurice van Tilburg

Maurice van Tilburg is Country Head of Euroclear Nederland, where he leads Euroclear's activities in the Dutch market. He works closely with issuers, investors, financial institutions and regulators to support the development of efficient, connected and future-ready capital markets.

With more than 25 years of experience in financial market infrastructure and capital markets, Maurice has built a career at the intersection of finance, technology and innovation. Before joining Euroclear, he served as CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, where he helped companies access public capital markets and supported the Dutch growth and technology ecosystem. He later led Techleap, contributing to the development of one of Europe's most vibrant startup and scale-up communities.

Throughout his career, Maurice has been passionate about strengthening market infrastructure, improving access to capital and fostering innovation. He combines deep expertise in capital markets with extensive board and advisory experience across both established financial institutions and emerging growth companies.

Outside his executive roles, Maurice is an award-winning conceptual artist whose work has been recognised at international exhibitions, including receiving second prize at the Amsterdam International Art Fair. He is also the creator of Cartoons in Finance, a publication through which he shares perspectives on leadership, innovation and financial markets by combining insights from business, technology and art.

Maurice holds an engineering degree and a postgraduate audit degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
