Douwe Schering, Senior Collateral & Securities Lending Manager, MN

Douwe Schering joined MN in September 2014. MN is a Dutch fiduciary asset manager overseeing €165 billion in pension assets.

Alongside managing MN’s daily collateral and securities lending operations, he has implemented EMIR UMR, negotiated with clearing members, prepared clients for central clearing of OTC derivatives, launched a global agency securities lending program, developed an in-house collateral optimization and dashboarding tool, created funding solutions for variation and initial margin, and aligned MN’s OTC derivatives trading and funding processes with the new Dutch pension system. He also teaches pension fund board members, policymakers, and Dutch central bank supervisors at SPO Nyenrode. Before joining MN, Douwe held senior roles in derivatives trading and regulatory risk management across various client segments and financial products.
