Miguel Ferreira
Chief Commercial Officer Americas, UK, Ireland and IBs - Euroclear
Miguel Ferreira is Managing Director, Chief Commercial Officer for the Americas, UK & Investment Banks and Head of Business Development for Collateral Management and Issuer Services at Euroclear. He is a key member of the Management team within Euroclear’s Sales & Client Relationship Division and is a member of the Management Directors Community.
In his role, Miguel oversees client relationships across the Americas, the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, Japanese institutions operating in Europe and global Investment Banks. He also leads Business Development for Collateral Management and Issuer Services, managing teams of sales, relationship managers and business developers based in New York, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Luxembourg, Brussels, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Previously, Miguel managed client relationships across the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, CIS, the Middle East and Africa, working from both London and Dubai.
Since joining Euroclear in 1997, Miguel has held a variety of roles in the Commercial Division, spanning Client Support and Relationship Management. He has been responsible for clients in South America (based in São Paulo), Southern Europe, Global Custodians (based in Brussels), and Investment Banks (based in London). Over the course of his career, he has lived and worked in Brussels, São Paulo, New York and London.
Miguel holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Universidade do Minho (Portugal), as well as a certificate in Financial Transaction Services Management from Solvay Business School/TransConstellation.
