Miguel Ferreira is a Managing Director, Chief Commercial Officer for the Americas, UK & Investment Banks and Head of Business Development for Collateral Management and Issuer Services at Euroclear.
He leads Euroclear’s commercial strategy and client engagement across the Americas, the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, Japanese financial institutions operating in Europe and global investment banks. He also oversees business development for Collateral Management and Issuer Services, driving growth initiatives and strategic client partnerships across two of Euroclear’s key business lines.
Miguel leads international teams of sales, relationship managers and business developers across Europe, North America and Asia. He is passionate about building high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships and delivering solutions that support market efficiency, collateral optimisation and capital markets growth.
Since joining Euroclear in 1997, Miguel has held a variety of commercial leadership roles spanning Client Support, Relationship Management and Business Development. During his career, he has worked across Europe, North and South America, building extensive experience in securities settlement, custody, collateral management and client relationship management.
Miguel holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Universidade do Minho (Portugal) and a Certificate in Financial Transaction Services Management from Solvay Business School / TransConstellation.
