Latest updates

14 April

With the Easter weekend now behind us, we thought it prudent to provide an update on the current situation. Like all of you, Euroclear continues to monitor the evolving global impact of COVID-19 and has put the appropriate measures in place to ensure the health and safety of our people and continuity of our business.

Extensive home working continues to take place successfully across the company with no change to service levels or business performance. As a Financial Market Infrastructure, our role is to support our clients dealing with the exceptional market volumes and provide stability and efficiency.

We understand that the current environment is equally challenging for all of our clients. If you need any additional support or guidance, please reach out to your usual Euroclear contact.

23 March

This is an update on our current state of business operations during an extraordinary time for all of us. Having closely monitored the COVID-19 situation, we put in place appropriate measures to protect the health and safety of our people and to ensure the continuity of our business. We have seen this week the majority of our staff work now in home-working arrangements with a limited amount of critical staff members working in certain offices. We are still seeing exceptional volumes but businesses have performed well. We are running all services efficiently with our people having adapted to this new way of working as we continue to support you in our role as a financial market infrastructure. Thank you for your understanding as we all respond to this unprecedented situation.

13 March

Since early February, Euroclear Finland has undertaken proactive measures to ensure business continuity. On 12 March, Euroclear Finland activated its Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to manage and mitigate the impact of Covid-19 epidemic on Euroclear Finland’s operations and business.

We are analyzing the development of the situation and updating our contingency scenarios on a daily basis.

Both Euroclear Finland and the Euroclear Group have imposed strict measures, such as banning all physical meetings with external parties and access to offices. Critical teams and resources have been identified and segregated to ensure that we remain operative in every circumstance.

We are closely following advice from the Finnish public health authorities. Our primary objective is to secure the health and well-being of our staff and that we will remain operational under any arising scenario. We believe that with the measures we have already taken and will be taking in the course of the potential escalation, we have the capacity to operate with a minimum adverse exposure to our clients.

If you have any questions about the readiness of Euroclear Finland, please do not hesitate to contact your relationship manager.
