The association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) has conducted a case study of Euroclear Sweden which is published today. It states that Euroclear Sweden has improved the settlement efficiency environment on a scale which has not been observed in other European markets.

The report concludes that:
One market in which there has been a more eye-catching success in addressing settlement fails is Sweden.” … “These market changes, primarily driven by a proactive CSD engaging with their users, have contributed to an improvement in the settlement efficiency environment on a scale which AFME has not observed in other European markets.”
