- Shareholder identification request and compilation of an intermediary list of owners:
Euroclear Sweden offers the possibility to order/request a new type of register of owners that we call intermediary list of owners via the Euroclear Sweden web portal IssuerCorner. The intermediary list of owners can be seen as a complement to existing products regarding owner information that can include shareholder data from other intermediaries than Euroclear Sweden and nominees. A request will be transformed into the standardised format in accordance with the regulation and forwarded to nominees, and thereafter onwards to other intermediaries in the securities holding chain.
- Meeting notice:
Euroclear Sweden offers the possibility for an issuer to order a distribution of a meeting notice in a standardised format in accordance with the regulation via our web portal IssuerCorner. Except for generic information such as date, time etc. it will be possible to include relevant additional information to the meeting notice such as the agenda items.
What have been the experiences since the launch of Euroclear Sweden´s SRD services?
On the shareholder identification side, it has so far been an interest and regular enquiries from issuers on our service offering. Euroclear Sweden has processed a handful of requests for “intermediary lists of owners” which have been executed including the service of collecting and compiling replies intermediaries in the holding chain.
On the notifications for general meetings side our service has been frequently used. More than 40 issuers have sent notifications since the launch in September which is a result of extra and postponed general meetings.
