Junior Achievement

Since 2014, we have been working with Junior Achievement Europe across eight locations. The aim of this programme is to encourage Euroclear staff to help young people develop entrepreneurial and business skills which they would not have access to at school. Through coaching and mentoring, we help to equip our future workforce. We offer a range of in-house and external activities in which our staff can become involved, thereby also giving them the opportunity to build on their skills.

Since 2014, we've had over 500 Euroclear volunteers taking part in our programmes and we are now pleased to announce that we have agreed to extend our partnership with Junior Achievemet for another year. Take a look at the JA press release

Coming soon: on 21 March, we will be holding a Job Shadow day in our Krakow office where students from nearby schools will be coming in to the office and following our staff as they go about their daily work. This gives the students a flavour of what life is like in a 'real' office - which is often quite different from what they had imagined!

Young entrepreneurs celebrate Valentine's day

Valentine's Day 2018

We celebrated Valentine's Day 2018 in style with 22 teams from the French speaking Junior Achievement branch, LJE, showcasing their talents at our Brussles office. As always, we were impressed by the range of talent and the originality of the concepts - from 'Stress busting pens' to an original card game. Many of the students had also taken the environment into account, as demonstrated with the 'eco bags', preempting Brussels upcoming ban on plastic bags.

Social entrepreneurship was also in much in evidence, with many of the teams donating part of their earnings to a good cause.

This is a great way for the students to get feedback from real clients as they prepare for the juries which will be judging their mini companies on everything from the presentation of their stands to their marketing campaigns.

Quote from one of the teachers

"Positive attitude of the students to this type of classes is expressed in their request for organizing such lessons in the future. They give students a sense of combining theory and practice, and this is an important element in teaching. I highly appreciate the substantive knowledge of the volunteers, as well as the preparation of materials for lessons. I believe that representatives of the business world should support schools in the implementation of their tasks to a much greater extent".
