We have streamlined our processes for efficiency and harmonization, which has enabled us to reduce operational costs, and this work continues. However, we continue to invest in new roadmap functionality, cyber, compliance, controls and capital, in order to keep up with mandatory requirements. These have affected and will continue to affect our fixed cost base. Therefore, we are obliged to adjust our tariffs accordingly.
We will implement our new tariff with a stepwise approach. The first change will enter into force as of September 2020 and the second one next year. The September tariff change focuses on fixed fees and message fees. We will start the dialogue on the second phase in our User Committee after the summer vacation period and include also the pricing of the Penalty Mechanism according to the CSDR.
This approach was discussed in our User Committee meeting on 22 April. The User Committee also emphasized the importance to start the dialogue on the T2S tariff early.
Changes valid as of September 2020:
• fixed monthly fees, message fees and other specific fees for participants
• equity issuer monthly fees for listed companies
We will publish tariff changes valid as of February 2021 during the autumn and the tariff on services related to Shareholders’ Right Directive II at a later date.
