Euroclear has set up Market Advisory Committees (MACs) in each country for which it acts as a central securities depository. In addition, MACs have been established to cover multiple markets.
- act as a primary source of consultation between the Euroclear group and our user communities on matters relating to individual or multiple domestic markets
- promote an efficient interaction of users with the CSDs
- allow users active in a market to express their views and needs for specific domestic services
The MACs have played a key role in the success of Euroclear’s market practice harmonisation efforts across markets. They are a vital and highly valued advisory body.
The MAC consultation process is conducted with Euroclear management. The members of the MACs are chosen by the market and approved by the Board of Euroclear SA/NV.
