Matthew Newnham
Chief Product Officer
Matthew is based on London and is an experienced executive with 20+ years of global experience in the fund industry, working with both fund companies and distributors. Following the acquisition of MFEX by Euroclear, Matthew is the co-Head of the Funds Product team of the combined MFEX and Euroclear Funds business. Prior to this he was MFEX’s Chief Product Officer, contributing to their growth over the last 7 years leading to becoming the second largest B2B fund distribution platforms, his contribution spanned each of the 3 core products: rebates, data solutions and trading. He also led the acquisition and integration of RBC’s Global Fund Platform into MFEX.
He started his career in London for Henderson Investors, which became Cogent prior to being bought by BNP Paribas. This journey took him to Luxembourg where he worked on the integration of the Cogent business into BP2S.
During 10 years at Citi he led product and large project teams globally and regionally in both Europe and Asia Pacific, being based in Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Australia,
Matthew currently sits on the board of directors of TURN (TISA Universal Reporting Network), a not-for-profit blockchain based data utility for the exchange of fund data.
